Africa-Press – Angola. Adão de Almeida, the Speaker of the National Assembly, took office on Tuesday as a member of the Southern African Development Community Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) during the 58th plenary assembly session of the regional organization.
On the third day of the event, national reports were presented on the degree of implementation of previous normative decisions and resolutions. The event also assessed draft resolutions that led to the adoption of the Executive Committee’s reports on financial, regulatory, and administrative issues.
The SADC Parliamentary Forum is taking place under the theme “The Impact of Climate Change in the SADC Region and the Role of Parliaments in Mitigation and Adaptation.”
The Angolan delegation is headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly and includes MPs Pedro Sebastião, Luísa Pedro, Francisco Damião Santos, Ruth Mendes, Teresa José, Adelino da Silva Neto, and Lázaro Kakunha.
