Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan professionals have been trained in the area of tourism in Cape Verde, within the framework of the partnership between the two countries in this sector.

The information was made official on Wednesday (21) by the Cape Verdean minister of Tourism and Transport, José Luís de Sá Nogueira, after a courtesy meeting with his Angolan counterpart, Márcio Daniel, within the framework of the Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which takes place from the 21st to the 25th of the current month, in the Kingdom of Spain.

According to the Cape Verdean official, the two countries have a strong partnership, which allows Angolan professionals to “absorb” from Cape Verde’s experience in this field to adapt it to the reality of the county.

He stated that tourism will have a greater advantage due to the fact that Angola has vast potential in terms of developing this sector and has an enormous diversity that needs to be explored.

José Luís de Sá Nogueira stated that he believes that Angola Minister of Tourism has the necessary strength to do well and is working on it.

As an example, he spoke of air connectivity, which he considers important and is what his country has done in terms of international air connectivity.

He recalled that Cape Verde is connected to more than 60 airports in the world, with more than 30 airlines flying to the country.

He added that this is key to the actual development of tourism, because after organization, one must believe in and properly exploit the opportunities available to attract investment.

For 5 days, Angola will present, through tour operators, to Spanish tourists and those from other regions of the world, the country’s potential, highlighting the 7 Wonders of Angola and the ways to purchase tourist packages.

The search for possible investment partnerships in the sector is also among the purposes of Angola’s participation in the Madrid Fair.

The slogan “The Rhythm of Life” aims to showcase Angola’s vitality, beyond oil, with an official website (visitangola.ao) and ambassadors to promote the destination globally.

At FITUR, the country intends to raise awareness and consolidate the presence of Angolan tourism in the European market and worldwide.
