Africa-Press – Angola. At least 32 metal weighing and sales houses will be closed throughout the province of Bié in the next two weeks, the provincial director of Economic and Integrated Development, Figueiredo Canguende Numbi, announced Thursday.
The official said that in the province’s capital it was possible to close seven establishments, with the support of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) and the National Police.
The houses are located in the neighborhoods of Caluapanda, Piloto and in the commune of Cunje, located seven kilometers from the capital of Bié.
Numbi said that, in addition to closing these 32 houses, the process foresees the identification of others operating illegally within this part of the country, having requested the involvement of municipal administrations, residents’ committees and the population in general, in reinforcing the complaints, as there are reports of the sale of these items at night.
