Africa-Press – Angola. The new Consul General of the Republic of Angola based in Lubumbashi, Antonio Miala, held talks this Thursday with the provincial governor of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Fifi Masuka, within the framework of strengthening regional cooperation.

The diplomatic meeting is part of the dynamic of consolidating bilateral relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola, with particular emphasis on decentralized cooperation between the province of Lualaba and neighboring Angolan entities.

At the heart of the conversations between the governor of Lualaba and the Angolan diplomat were the strengthening of institutional ties, the promotion of cross-border trade exchanges, and the development of high-impact socio-economic infrastructure projects.

The two figures also discussed investment opportunities, as well as the need to boost economic cooperation mechanisms for the benefit of operators from both countries.

Consul General Antonio Miala praised the vision and transformative drive promoted by Governor Fifi Masuka Saïni, highlighting the progress made in infrastructure development and improving the business environment in Lualaba province.

The meeting thus marks a significant step in strengthening a partnership based on complementarity, mutual trust, and the pursuit of shared development, serving the Congolese and Angolan populations in the region.
