Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, stated this Saturday in Ndalatando that the organization’s militants at the local level are mobilized, aware, and aligned with the party’s strategies.
The politician made this statement at the presentation of the MPLA’s Political Agenda for 2026, declaring that the party in the region is working towards a more prosperous, productive, and socially stable province, in harmony with the guidelines of the party leader who supports the Government.
He noted that Cuanza-Norte intends to continue paying special attention to children, youth, women, and the elderly, whom he considered fundamental pillars of society. This priority aims to promote inclusive policies that ensure opportunities, greater dignity, and well-being for all Angolans, building an increasingly better Angola to live in, according to the politician.
Regarding the political challenges ahead, he stated that the militants are determined and prepared to face the new dynamics of the political landscape.
According to the secretary, with firmness and purpose, the party will achieve victory, expecting to occupy all five seats in the provincial electoral district of the National Assembly.
He believes that the new political-administrative division of the country, which resulted in the creation of seven more municipalities in the province, has added value to the party’s grassroots structure.
The new territorial organization, he argued, represents not only more responsibilities but also opportunities to consolidate the party, strengthen mobilization, and expand the MPLA’s presence in communities.
The MPLA’s Political Agenda for 2026 is based on 11 strategic pillars, including strengthening internal unity, defending the image and prestige of the party and its leader, and providing continuous support to the Executive Branch for the implementation of quality governance.
The document launch was attended by senior party leaders and the first provincial secretaries of the MPLA from Malanje and Uíge.
