Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço sent a congratulatory message on Tuesday (24) to Emperor Naruhito of Japan, on the occasion of the Asian country’s National Day, marked on Feb 23rd.

In the message, the Angolan Head of State rejoices in the historic date for that country, with which Angola wishes to continuously strengthen the existing fruitful cooperation relations, for the benefit of the prosperity of their respective peoples.

“I have the honor of congratulating Your Majesty and the Japanese people, on behalf of the Angolan Executive and myself, on the celebration of Japan’s National Day,” reads the letter.

Relations between Angola and Japan, established in September 1976, are experiencing a solid moment of growing economic cooperation, focused on the Angola industrial diversification.

Japan supports the development of infrastructure, agriculture (rice cultivation), health, and energy, notably the recent expansion of the electricity grid in the south of the country, within the context of the partnership.
