Africa-Press – Angola. Angola’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Ana Maria de Oliveira, met on Wednesday with the Apostolic Nuncio and Permanent Observer of the Holy See, Ettore Balestrero, with whom she discussed issues related to human rights.
According to an official statement, the meeting, held at the Holy See Bureau, also allowed for the analysis of issues related to humanitarian aid and other current international topics.
During the talks, the Angolan diplomat presented an overview of the country’s situation in the field of human rights, highlighting the progress in strengthening the rule of law, consolidating democratic institutions and promoting fundamental freedoms.
On that occasion, Ana Maria de Oliveira presented a copy of her work entitled “Angola and the expression of its material culture” to the representative of the Holy See.
Ettore Balestrero has diplomatic experience in missions in South Korea, Mongolia, the Netherlands and the Democratic Republic of Congo, between 2018 and 2023.
