Africa-Press – Angola. The Commission for the Implementation of the Reconciliation Plan in Memory of the Victims of Political Conflicts (CIVICOP) has released a provisional list of women victims of the events of May 27, 1977.
In a press release made public, CIVICOP appealed to family members to collaborate in the identification process by collecting biological samples for DNA testing.
The collection of samples is a fundamental step for the identification of the remains and their subsequent delivery to the respective families, the note emphasizes.
Samples can be collected at the Central Criminalistics Laboratory, located in the Popular Neighborhood, as well as at the facilities located in Leo XIV Square, in the municipality of Kilamba, the document reads.
The initiative is part of the national reconciliation process and the reparation of the memory of the victims of political conflicts, conducted by CIVICOP.
