This information was provided yesterday by the general director of the Institute for the Development of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IPA), Valdemar Pinto, in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Cármen do Sacramento Neto.

At the time, Valdemar Pinto informed that Kilunda’s initiative started with 15 floating tanks and 40,000 fry and initially aimed to empower 30 local families.

The project, funded by 15 million kwanzas, is developed by the Institute of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture, an entity responsible for training members of the cooperatives associated with the initiative with knowledge on cooperativism, aquaculture, small business management, among other subjects.
