Africa-Press – Angola. Eight hundred and 60 cadets participate in the 19th Basic Military Instruction Course 2023/2024, which started this Thursday, in Saurimo, Lunda-Sul province.
Running until next April, the training action, whose opening was guided by the commander of the National Air Force Troop Instruction Center (CIT), Luís Licaxi, covers subjects linked to military discipline and honor, salute, combative instruction and weapons handling.
For three months, participants will also absorb knowledge about moral and civic education, quartering, health and hygiene, service standards, discipline and military justice, infantry shooting, among others.
When speaking at the opening of the event, Luís Licaxi highlighted the importance of the rejuvenation process within the corporation, considering that this necessarily involves the training and instruction of men.
“The rejuvenation of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) is the guarantee of the defense of the homeland, taking into account the process of reforms based on age limits, carried out at higher levels,” he said.
He considered the current situation to be a challenge that must be taken seriously and appealed to everyone’s conscience, in order to actively participate in the missions to be entrusted.
