Africa-Press – Angola. The minister of Public Works and Territorial Planning, Manuel Tavares, said this Tuesday, in Luanda, that 2,352 apartments of the Zango Zero Housing Project will start to be delivered this month to the owners.

He added that, between July and August, 336 apartments of the Urbanização Vida Pacifica will also be delivered. Manuel Tavares, who was speaking to the press during a visit to verify the works in progress in both housing projects, said that the 2,352 apartments are in 21 of the 28 buildings of the Zango Zero Housing Project, commonly known as the Second Phase of the Peaceful Life Urbanization.
He informed that the 336 apartments of Urbanização Vida Pacifica are part of three vandalized buildings and that two buildings will be delivered in July and one in August. He made it known, on the other hand, that the properties, in the T4 and T3 typologies, already have owners and that, in the current month, only the formal delivery of the keys to the owners is taking place.

The minister of Public Works and Territorial Planning said that a plan was underway to complete the repair, by the end of the year, of the apartments in the remaining eight vandalized buildings, with the first to be delivered from the month of September.

Manuel Tavares said that the vandalism created huge damage to some apartments and buildings, “to the point that they needed materials to be imported from China”.

Wastewater Treatment Station

The Wastewater Treatment Station (WWTP) at Urbanização Vida Pacifica is being rehabilitated, following the degradation it suffered as it was never used. The works, which also include the construction of the Wastewater and Rainwater Drainage Network, budgeted at 5,455,683,206.91 (five thousand million, four hundred and fifty-five million, six hundred and eighty-three thousand, two hundred and six kwanzas and ninety-one cents), are in charge of the construction company Omatapalo.

The WWTP will guarantee the reuse of wastewater by residents, through oxidation and other duly effective processes, and has the capacity to treat five thousand cubic meters of water per day.

The execution plan is in the order of 40 percent, but the delivery of the work is scheduled for the second half of August.
