Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty-eight citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were, Monday, repatriated by the Migration and Foreigners Service (SME), in the province of Zaire, for illegally entering and staying in the national territory.

The repatriation took place at the Luvo border post, 60 kilometers north of the city of Mbanza Kongo, capital of the province of Zaire.

According to the spokesman for the Provincial Delegation of the Interior in Zaire, Sérgio Afonso, of this number, 30 are men and 28 are women.

He added that the aforementioned illegal immigrants were collected in the Boa Esperança neighborhood and in the village of Nkama, Luvo commune, within the scope of control and inspection actions for foreign citizens in an irregular migratory situation.

More than two thousand liters of fuel seized in Soyo

Also on Monday, 2,110 liters of fuel destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were seized by the Border Guard Police, in the municipality of Soyo, for presumed smuggling.

He explained that the product was found in a craft vessel on the Santo António river channel, packed in 25 and 30 liter containers, following a routine patrol carried out by the corporation’s staff.

The fuel and the vessel were handed over to the General Tax Administration (AGT) in the municipality of Luvo, for the necessary procedures.

Three hundred and ten kilometers of land and river border separate the Angolan province of Zaire from the neighboring DRC.
