Africa-Press – Angola. In this brief excerpt, I award a medal to President João Lourenço, for the initiative he took in recognizing the achievements of Angolans, and, above all, for being our President. – For the time you have been governing this country, I would like to say, thank you, thank you and thank you very much.
Don’t think I don’t know that it is your duty to serve the country. I am grateful because it is not just serving, but total dedication.
In the situation Angola found itself in, a firm hand and a patriotic commitment were needed for public institutions to come to life.
To those who say that Mr. President travels a lot, I also went through the process of looking for investors, despite being local, and being a private company, but the process is almost the same.
Those on the outside say that this is just spending, but those who know the dynamics of the market economy know that staying still in a world in constant movement and total uncertainty would cost much more than closing in on Angola.
It is not a continuity that you have done, and will continue to do, but a reconstruction. And, rebuilding something that bricklayers, electricians, engineers, plumbers, in addition to not supervising the works, also handled the material, is not an easy task.
More resources were needed for reconstruction, and worse, in the first years of your ex’s first term, reconstruction was being done with some of those who had tampered with the material and were building poorly, hence the slogan of correcting what is wrong and improving what is good.
When you enter an abnormal environment, but which people think is normal out of habit, you can never be too careful, because, instead of allies, no matter how much good you do, you attract enemies.
As Martin Luther King said, “To create enemies, it is not necessary to declare war, it is enough to say what you think.”
In a reconstruction with deep-rooted habits, where even young people had the habit of meddling in public affairs and going unpunished, it is/was not easy.
I repeat, the theft is not over, but no one goes unpunished anymore.
Several laws were produced, and today we have a culture of accountability, making complaints…
The messenger announces to the four corners of the world the path to follow and recommends resorting to the law. Just as Jesus Christ did, unfortunately many preferred and prefer not to believe.
Those who believed and believe, managed, and can see the new Angola, the consolidation of the Democratic Rule of Law and the opportunities…
I do not compare João Lourenço with Jesus Christ, but I do advocate, because in almost all situations in life we only see the miracle being fulfilled, when we believe in those who have the authority to do it…
During President João Lourenço’s administration, many good things have happened, and continue to happen. – Personally, I feel inspired by President João Lourenço.
Unbelievers, even if God comes, if they do not believe, unfortunately they will not see the miracle.
Believing is the sine qua non condition for miracles to manifest in our lives, both in religion and in everyday life.
As long as there is society, the problems will be endless. But in all this, what matters is the legacy that the person who directed the country’s destiny left!
João Lourenço will be remembered as the one who started the fight against impunity, ended the superior orders, treated everyone as Angolans, gave hope to the youth, made public institutions stronger, gave rest to the victims of armed conflicts, relieved their families, allowed everyone to be equal before the law, recognized the role of youth and invested in them, built large infrastructures from scratch, ended the monopoly, promoted competitiveness, also promoted transparency in the admission of new staff to the public administration… It seems little to achieve these goals in less than 10 years, but it is not.
Talking is easy, but doing is only for those who are already committed to the well-being of Angola and Angolans.
For me, I reiterate, João Lourenço is a source of inspiration; wherever I go I will preach this. This is the recognition I can give to the man who has given and decorated others, in a good exercise of national reconciliation.
