Africa-Press – Angola. The National Adapted Athletics Team won eleven medals at the International Meeting, ended Sunday, in the Kingdom of Morocco, qualifying event for the French Paralympic Games “Paris ́2024”.
Angola won four gold medals, through Juliana Moko, in the women’s 400 meters (class T11 – total visual impairment), with a time of 1.03.73 and André Oliveira, in the 200m (class T12 – partial visual impairment), with 24.42 .
But the great reference was Manuel Jaime, unbeatable in the 400 and 800m (class T46 – motor disability), with times of 52.05 and 2.01.44 respectively.
Sprinter Juliana Moko also won double silver in the 100m, with a time of 13 seconds and 19 tenths, and in the 200m, with 26.91.
The athletes Adelino Cambinda also won silver in the 100m, class T12, with a time of 12.02 and in the 200m, with 24.44. Beatriz Catiavala was ranked second in the 400m T11, with a time of 1.04.31.
Sprinter Regina Dumbo won bronze in the 100m class T11, with a time of 13.20 and in the 200m with a time of 27.13.
This athlete from the province of Huambo was disqualified in the 400m event, a specialty in which she is strongest, for false start.
The national team, led by coach José Manuel, returned to the country this Monday.
