Administrator wants staff committed to the social well-being of the population

Africa-Press – Angola. The municipal administrator of Mbanza Kongo, Manuel Nsiansoki Gomes, stated this Thursday that the country needs competent staff committed to the social well-being of the population.

The person in charge made this statement when inducting new staff into the Municipal Administration, adding that it is only with dynamic and creative staff that the desired social development will be achieved.

In his intervention, the manager focused more on the Education sector, having, on the occasion, urged the new director to make more efforts to improve the teaching and learning process in the district.

“It is inconceivable that some students in the first cycle of our schools do not know how to sing the national anthem, much less know some figures from the Provincial Government and the country”, he observed.

Manuel Nsiansoki Gomes also asked the new head of Education to invest more in training teachers in all education subsystems in the municipality.

“We must teach our students to know the entities that run the country, as well as the national anthem and our Republic flag”, he reinforced.

Also taking office were staff linked to the sectors of culture and tourism, energy and water, registration and administrative modernization, environment and basic sanitation, study, planning and statistics, social communication, legal, exchange and support for residents’ committees, social action, former fighters and veterans of the country.

The municipality of Mbanza Kongo, headquarters of the province of Zaire, has an estimated population of more than 180 thousand inhabitants, spread across six communes: Luvo, Nkiende, Kalambata, Kaluka, Madimba and Sede.
