Administrator wants transparent management of the Budget

Africa-Press – Angola. The assistant municipal administrator for the Economic and Financial area of Cuanhama, in Cunene, Laimi Aníbal, asked this Monday for rigor and transparency in the management of the Participatory Budget, to meet the needs of families.

The official, who made this request on the sidelines of the meeting aimed at electing the 13 members who make up the new Technical Committee for the Management of the Participatory Budget in Cuanhama, explained that it was not easy to work with the budget, hence the need to rationalize the 25 million kwanzas, made available annually.

Laimi Aníbal stated that it is a budget with the objective of raising the social development of families, through an inclusive and effective participation of the entire civil society.

The municipality of Cuanhama has 360 thousand 491 inhabitants, distributed in five communes, namely Ondjiva, Nehone, Evale, Môngua and Oshimolo.

The participatory budget is a tool that the Angolan Executive adopted in the administrative deconcentration and decentralization process to make it more participatory, whether in terms of elaboration or implementation.

Presidential Decree 234/19, of July 22, presents the participatory budget of the Administration and citizens, managed with the active participation of members of the management commissions, made up of representatives of civil society, with the ability to identify problems and define priorities .
