Africa-Press – Angola. The Benguela Provincial Electoral Commission trains, as of today, 23 agents on the composition and functionality of Polling Stations, management and distribution of material, organization and accommodation of voters with the contest for biosafety booths.

The training action, lasting five days, stems from the preparation process for the General Elections of 24 August. The trainees will also learn about matters related to the process of organizing polling stations, the exercise of voting, namely order and priority, and on the orientation of voters with disabilities.

The opening of the polls, blank and null votes, counting of votes, destination of the electoral material, minutes of the polling station, summary minutes of the polling station, sending the minutes, sending, posting, reverse logistics of the material and practical sections are all part of of the training agenda.

According to the president of the CPE, José Ndala Carlos, he said that the training action aims to provide the staff engaged in the electoral process with sufficient knowledge to provide the response required with the holding of the General Elections.

In this order, the agenda also includes a period of brief review of content on the rights and duties of electoral agents, from members of polling stations, list delegates, voters and observers.

The training actions take place throughout the country, under the supervision of the National Electoral Commission, with the aim of preparing Electoral Civic Education Agents, as well as technicians specialized in operationalizing the polling stations.

The Provincial Electoral Commission of Benguela is, according to its president, José Ndala Carlos, going to prepare the conditions in all the municipalities. The organization of the General Elections on 24 August has training sessions planned until the first fortnight of next month, according to the CNE.
