Agricultural sector can boost cooperation between Angola and Nicaragua

Africa-Press – Angola. Nicaragua’s ambassador to Angola, Roberto J. Morales, defended, this Tuesday, in Luanda, greater cooperation between the two countries, pointing out as a “hook” the establishment of greater exchanges in the field of agriculture.

The Nicaraguan diplomat made these statements to the press, following an audience with the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.

He expressed his desire to further strengthen cooperation between the authorities and people of the two States.

In the parliamentary domain, Roberto Morales said the intention is to develop a work agenda, with the establishment of friendship groups, which will allow the two “Houses of Laws” to identify and establish mechanisms for a stronger bilateral policy.

He highlighted that, regarding this intention, the president of AN, Carolina Cerqueira, expressed the openness and willingness of the Angolan authorities for the plan to become effective.

On the other hand, the ambassador recognized the work being carried out by the Angolan authorities for the country’s development, and took the opportunity to thank the opportunity for the first courtesy visit to the National Assembly.

Roberto Morales was accredited, this year, as the first ambassador of Nicaragua residing in Angola, a country whose diplomatic relations were formally established on September 6, 1979.
