Africa-Press – Angola. Three hundred and 25 million kwanzas is the turnover achieved at the first Agro-Industrial Fair in the Northern Region of Angola, which Malanje hosted from the 4th to the 7th of this month.

The information was given, in the city of Malanje, by the president of the Board of Directors of the company organizing the fair, C-Calas-eventos, Carlos Calas, at the end of the event, noting that the value resulted from the sale of products.

He stated that the event, which had around eight thousand visitors, allowed the creation of 80 direct jobs and 135 indirect jobs, numbers that correspond to expectations, and therefore expressed the company’s willingness to continue collaborating with the government in carrying out activities of the gender, as they contribute to the country’s economic growth.

The vice-governor of Malanje for the Political, Economic and Social sector, Franco Mufinda, stated that the figures achieved represent an acceptable indicator of economic diversification, which is desired in the country,

He highlighted that industry and agriculture are sectors highlighted during the Fair and that contribute to the implementation of the Program to Combat Poverty, having challenged the exhibiting companies to assume themselves as engines of the economy, participating in the next editions of the Agro-industrial Fair from Angola.

The event was attended by 205 exhibitors from the agro-industry sectors, as well as machinery and equipment sellers, from the provinces of Malanje, Luanda, Huambo, Benguela, Cabinda, Uíge and Cuanza-Norte, who essentially sold agricultural and industrial, machinery and equipment, among other products.

For four days, it served to publicize the agricultural, tourist and economic potential of the respective provinces, establish partnerships, among other business avenues.

The Fair was part of the celebrations of the 22nd anniversary of peace and national reconciliation, marked on the 4th of this month and was attended by public services from the Savings and Credit Bank (BPC), Justice, the National Institute for Consumer Protection (INADEC), among others, and Marsiris Farms, Biocom and others.
