Africa-Press – Angola. From 17 to 21 November, the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) will conduct a technical mission in France as part of the ‘Combined Dialogue and Strategy for Export and Investment in the Agro-Industrial Sector’.

According to a press release sent on Friday, the mission forms part of the EU-Angola Dialogues program, organized in partnership with Business France and supported by the European Union. The aim is to strengthen trade and investment relations.

The note states that the mission aims to bolster AIPEX’s institutional capacity and encourage the adoption of European best practices for export promotion and foreign direct investment attraction.

Over the five-day period, the AIPEX delegation will participate in working sessions and training with Business France teams, addressing topics such as monitoring and retaining international investors (aftercare), economic intelligence, identifying opportunities and collaboration between agencies and regions to promote investment.

Discussions on the integrated promotion of the agro-industrial and cleantech sectors are also planned.

The program includes meetings at the Business France headquarters in Paris and participation in the Ambition Africa 2025 event, which brings together African and European business leaders.

There will also be technical visits to Marseille and the Rungis international market, which is Europe’s largest distribution centre for fresh agri-food products. The technical mission focuses particularly on the agro-industrial sector, a priority for Angola in terms of both exports and investment attraction.

The document points out that sharing experiences and methodologies between the two agencies will enable AIPEX to promote Angolan opportunities to European investors more effectively, strengthening the country’s position as a competitive and sustainable destination for foreign investment.

This technical mission to France marks the second stage of a collaborative initiative that commenced in Angola last September, with a seminar dedicated to training AIPEX personnel and formulating strategies for the economic and commercial promotion of Angola in Europe.

Business France is the agency responsible for the internationalization of the French economy. It is responsible for the international development of companies and their exports, as well as prospecting for and welcoming foreign investment in France.

The partnership aims to strengthen AIPEX’s capacity to promote exports and attract foreign direct investment by exchanging best practices and defining effective and geographical strategies, particularly in the agro-industrial sector.

It includes knowledge-sharing sessions, technical seminars, the development of strategic guides, and visits to agri-food export projects, including the Ambition Africa fair.

This collaboration will enable economic intelligence methodologies to be aligned, improve institutional coordination, and develop common approaches to support strategic investment.

A partnership declaration will also be signed by AIPEX and Business France, strengthening cooperation between Angola and the European Union to promote sustainable economic growth.
