At the end of the match at the Estádio Nacional 11 de Novembro, Petro de Luanda’s coach, the Portuguese Alexandre Santos, was a happy man and dedicated the third consecutive trophy to the tricolor associative mass, the management and in particular to his wife and two children who witnessed the match that crowned the national champion team.
“I dedicate the title to all my players. They were essential, we worked, fought and were the best team. We have 15 more goals than our direct opponent, which demonstrates our effectiveness”, he highlighted.
He recognized that the Girabola is a very difficult race, but Petro knew how to manage it and achieve the defined objective. “Congratulations to the opponents and give a special word to Sagrada Esperança, for being a great rival and having the merit of being the only team that managed to beat us”, highlighted the 47-year-old coach.
Alexandre Santos left words of encouragement and respect for his colleague Roque Sapiri, coach of the runners-up for the team he built and the fact that he competed with the Tricolors helped him win the competition to the point of exhaustion.
“But, we are much better. I have something to share with you; I’m really going to eat the rice pudding”, he said with some irony regarding the bowl of rice.
