Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador José Andrade de Lemos presented, this Thursday, at the Aitarak Laran Presidential Palace, the Letters of Credentials to the President of the Democratic Republic of East Timor, José Ramos Horta.

According to a note, the Timorese President granted an audience to the diplomat where he reaffirmed the desire of the Angolan statesman, João Lourenço, to strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries.

The ambassador mentioned the political, economic and legislative reforms carried out by the Angolan Executive, a factor that has also generated greater credibility for national public institutions.

Likewise, he highlighted that these (reforms) have provided a good business environment, favorable to all, and that they contribute to the country increasingly establishing itself in the world political chessboard as an international actor committed to social peace. , the well-being and prosperity of the people.

Cooperation between the two states is essentially supported by five (5) legal instruments, for which the diplomat highlighted the need to boost them.

The audience lasted around 30 minutes, with the Angolan ambassador delivering a handmade piece and coffee produced in Angola to the statesman, a gesture that was reciprocated by President José Ramos-Horta with the delivery of coffee produced in this country.

Upon leaving, the Angolan diplomat informed the press that his priority is to strengthen relations between the two peoples, especially in the exchange of visits at the highest level, by the two Presidents of the Republic, members of the Government and the private business community.
