Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Botswana, Beatriz de Morais, highlighted, last Saturday, in Gaborone, the Tswanese capital, the new Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport and the construction of new hydroelectric dams as examples of infrastructures that impact development socioeconomic status of the country.

Quoted in a press release, the diplomat also pointed out the construction of the Cabinda, Soyo and Benguela refineries, as well as the Lobito Corridor as other projects developed by the Angolan Executive to develop the country.

When speaking at the ceremony that marked the celebration of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, marked on April 4, Beatriz de Morais also highlighted photovoltaic projects, the Cafu Irrigation Canal, among others, as projects that will generate wealth, jobs and improving the living conditions of the populations.

On the occasion, the ambassador recalled that the signing of the Peace Agreement, on April 4, 2002, allowed a healthy coexistence between Angolans, maintaining mutual respect, a spirit of tolerance, love for the country, solidarity, unity and reconciliation.

The celebration of Peace and National Reconciliation Day, marked by a political act, a cultural day and an exhibition of national art and gastronomy, was attended by the African diplomatic corps accredited in Botswana, Angolan diplomats and officials in SADC.
