Africa-Press – Angola. The national football team for amputees ends today at 8 pm at Estádio dos Coqueiros, in downtown Luanda, the second phase of preparation work, before the trip to Turkey tomorrow.
Training begins with the indispensable and demanding warm-up exercises in a small space without the ball. After physical fitness, players do ball work to improve passing, reception and fast movement.
Before the details for the maintenance of the collective physical condition, the athletes sing the National Anthem after a prayer in the center of the field of play. In the final part of the preparation, the coach of the National Team, Cheto Baptista, divides the athletes into two groups for the dispute of a mini-game, in order to correct some tactical details.
However, the Angolan coach is concerned about some defensive and offensive aspects, especially the departures for the attack and the fast defensive transitions. Last night, the first part of the training session was focused on recovering the physical condition, due to the Sunday break for the collective.
Last Saturday, during training held in Baixa de Luanda, the technical team dismissed goalkeeper António Maria, from Misto do Cuanza-Norte, and forward Pedro Víctor (Benguela).
