Africa-Press – Angola. The Regional Economic Governance Program for Portuguese-speaking Countries and Timor-Leste (PALOP-TL), in partnership with the National Assembly (AN), takes place this Tuesday, in Luanda.
According to a press release, the workshop to formulate the multi-annual work plan (2024-2026) of the PALOP-TL Program aims to reinforce the Public Financial Management and Budgetary Inspection Systems.
The initiative also aims to bring together the program’s main beneficiaries and partners in a participatory and inclusive process of formulating an Annual Work Plan (PTA) for a period of 3 years in each beneficiary country.
Furthermore, PALOP-TL also aims to promote regional integration and economic cooperation between participating countries, stimulating trade and business partnerships.
By exchanging information and carrying out joint initiatives, the aim is to boost economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
The PALOP-TL Regional Economic Governance Program represents an important initiative to strengthen economic cooperation and promote the sustainable development of the States Parties.
With the support of several international cooperation partners, this program aims to contribute to the improvement of public policies and the strengthening of institutional capacities, thus promoting an environment favorable to economic growth and the well-being of populations.
It is important to emphasize that Angola will be the third country to hold the workshop to formulate these annual national work plans that allow direct consultation with all identified beneficiaries.
Pro PALOP-TL Phase III will be attended by national and foreign personalities, with emphasis on representatives of international organizations.
PALOP is the name given to a regional cooperation group that brings together African countries that have Portuguese as their official language, comprising Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe. VIC
