Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Argentina analyzed, this Friday, in Luanda, the state of political-diplomatic relations between them, during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the ambassador of this South American country, Alejandro Verdier.
The head of Angolan diplomacy received, in audience, the Argentine diplomat at the end of his mission in Angola, who took the opportunity to talk about issues relating to the consolidation of cooperation relations.
Téte António and Alejandro Guillermo Verdier also devoted special attention to analyzing the possibility of identifying new areas of cooperation, with emphasis on the industry, energy, infrastructure and agricultural sectors.
In Luanda, Angolan and Argentine businesspeople meet periodically to discuss and implement new cooperation strategies, which aim to strengthen commercial ties and explore new partnership opportunities.
In general, relations between the two countries are dynamic and diverse, which is why several legal instruments were signed between them, notably the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, signed on August 27, 1985.
Relations between Angola and Argentina are considered fruitful, healthy and of brotherhood, dating back to 1977 when this Latin American country recognized Angola’s independence.
In the last three years, trade between the two has seen a notable expansion. In 2022, bilateral trade grew 38%, reaching a value of 200 million dollars.
To sustain and expand this growth, countries have fine-tuned strategies designed to increase business volume.
Argentina is a country in South America with an extensive area that covers the Andes mountains, glacial lakes and prairies in the Pampas, traditionally occupied by its famous cattle. The country is also known for its dance and music, tango.
