Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Brazil are holding, as of Wednesday, in Brasília, the 7th session of the Joint Commission, for the deepening of diplomatic relations and bilateral cooperation.
The information was released this Tuesday, in a note from the Angolan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which reported on the arrival in Brasília of the head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, to participate in the meeting.
It should be remembered that the details of the preparation of this event were dealt with on the 23rd of last month, during a telephone conversation between the ministers of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Téte António, and of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Luiz Vieira.
Cooperation between Angola and Brazil began to take shape on June 11, 1980, with the signing of the Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement.
Under this agreement, the two countries developed cooperation in the areas of Defense, Health, Culture, Public Administration, Professional Training, Education, Environment, Sports, Statistics and Agriculture.
Angola and Brazil have also worked to strengthen and deepen their relationship within the CPLP, with emphasis on issues of mobility agreements, investment facilitation and double taxation.
The 7th session of the Angola-Brazil Joint Commission will conclude its work next Friday (7).
