Angola and China discuss structuring projects in the energy sector

Africa-Press – Angola. The strengthening of cooperation between the republics of Angola and China was, this Monday, under analysis during an audience granted by the Secretary of State for Waters, Manuel Quintino, to the ambassador of this Asian, Gong Tao.

During the audience, which took place at the facilities of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA), they went to discuss structural projects for the energy sector in Angola.

According to a note from MINEA to which press had access, the meeting was also attended by the president of the National Energy Administration of China, Zhang Jianhua, as well as representatives of some Chinese companies operating in the country.

On the occasion, the hydroelectric power plants of Caculo Cabaça and Luachimo were discussed, with the president of the National Energy Administration of China, Zhang Jianhua, expressing his interest in participating in the energy transcription process in Angola.

In turn, the Secretary of State for Water, Manuel Quintino, was open to the participation of the Chinese part in the energy expansion process in the country.

Angola and China are strategic partners in the most varied domains and their relationship of friendship and cooperation, which dates back to the first years of Angola’s independence, has developed at an accelerated pace.
