Africa-Press – Angola. The football teams of Angola and the Comoros Islands played at a training pace in a 0-0 draw, in the early hours of this Tuesday, in the second game of the year on the FIFA date, played at the Stadium Grand, in Marrakesh (Morocco).
As usually happens in friendly matches, the two technical teams showed no concern for the result, prioritizing minutes for their respective athletes.
It was a very poor game, with little football, little speed and little creativity, a situation that worsened after the break, a period in which changes to the starting eleven were successive.
After Angola’s defeat last week against hosts Morocco (0-1), which required an own goal, and Comoros’ 4-0 defeat against Uganda, a better performance was expected from the contenders.
The less competitive game strategy is more focused on study and can be understood considering the return to the qualifying campaign for the World Cup in 2026, scheduled for June, where Angola will face the similar teams of Eswatine and Cameroon, in a challenge for the 3rd and 4th Group-D matches.
Maestro and Jeremi Belas left for Palancas Negras and Marcos Silva and Eliote Simões entered.
Then, Pedro Gonçalves replaced Show with Domingos Andrade, in a challenge in which Dominique was the starting goalkeeper instead of Neblú.
Finally, the triple replacement: Tó Carneiro, Jordy Gaspar and Megue left, giving way to Mabululu, David Carmo and Núrio Fortuna.
