Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Côte d’Ivoire signed Wednesday, in Luanda, several instruments to strengthen cooperation in various areas.

These are protocols that will raise the level of relations in the Interior, Territorial Administration, Tourism, Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Health, Culture, Environment, Higher Education and Education sectors.

The signing took place during the 1st session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between Angola and Cote d’Ivoire, which evaluated ongoing projects between the two countries, as well as reviewing the agreements in force and the constraints for materializing the commitments assumed between the parts.

The documents were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola, Téte António, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African and Ivorian Integration Abroad of the Republic of Côte d ́Ivoire, Léon Kacou Adom.

On the occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, reiterated Angola’s commitment to implementing these protocols for the benefit of both peoples.

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African and Ivorian Integration Abroad of the Republic of Côte D’Ivoire, Léon Kacou Adom, said that the paths that have just been outlined will bring significant benefits to both peoples.

“We have outlined paths that will reinforce our confidence in a radiant future, looking at our potential and the work between the economic operators of the two countries”, he highlighted.

The first session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the two countries takes place 39 years after the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was signed on June 19, 1985, in Yamoussoukro (Cote d’Ivoire).
