Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and INTERPOL signed, this Wednesday, in the city of New Delhi, India, an Agreement on Privileges and Immunities, a step that approves the country to hold the organization’s 26th African Regional Conference, scheduled for October next year. .

The initialed agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the International Criminal Police Organization, Jurgen Sotck, and the Secretary of State for the Interior, José Paulino da Silva, on the sidelines of the 90th INTERPOL General Assembly .

Taking the floor, the secretary general of INTERPOL recognized Angola’s commitment to strengthening the organization’s actions in Africa and in the world in general.

“It is with great pleasure that you sign the agreement for the organization’s biggest event in Africa to take place in Angola, probably in October next year”, he stressed.

In turn, the Secretary of State for the Interior, José Paulino da Silva, stressed that Angola is one of the most active members of the organization, which does everything to honor the international commitments assumed as a member state of INTERPOL.
