Africa-Press – Angola. Angola and Portugal signed, today, in Luanda, cooperation agreements between the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC ) and the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE).
The agreement will be signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Teté António, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, João Gomes Cravinho. The signing ceremony takes place during the plenary session of the Angola/Portugal Joint Intergovernmental Commission, which aims to promote the development of the bilateral relationship, in accordance with the international conventions concluded between the Republic of Angola and the Portuguese Republic, as well as to follow up on the bilateral instruments under negotiation between the Republic of Angola and the Portuguese Republic. The two countries also intend to carry out consultations on bilateral and multilateral issues of common interest.
The Republic of Angola and the Portuguese Republic established diplomatic relations on March 9, 1976. Both countries signed the first legal instrument known as the General Cooperation Agreement.
