Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, held a courtesy meeting on Monday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Central African Republic, HE Sylvie Mbaipo-Temon.
The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the Third United Nations High-Level Conference on Combating Terrorism, served for the two entities to exchange views on the meeting of the United Nations Security Council , which this Tuesday will hold an open debate on the situation in the Central African Republic, according to a note accessed by JA Online.
In 2021, during the 8802nd Meeting of the Security Council on the CAR, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, as acting president of the CIRGL, defended the end of the arms embargo on the CAR and asked for more international support for peace and security, as well as neutralizing dissident forces in the country.
