Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Jovelina Imperial, held a courtesy meeting with her counterpart from the United States of America (USA), Randy Berry, during which the challenges of cooperation between the two countries were addressed.

According to a note from the Angolan diplomatic representation in that country that press had access to, on the occasion, ambassador Jovelina Imperial thanked the gesture and support of the United States in the execution of renewable and clean energy projects in Angola, having also highlighted the strong bond of cooperation between Angolan and American businessmen, in the most diverse domains.

Jovelina Imperial said that Angola remains open to a new dynamic that is intended in political-diplomatic relations, as well as in the economic aspect between the United States of America.

In turn, Ambassador Randy Berry reaffirmed his government’s intention to favor economic and business relations between the two countries.

At the end of the meeting, the two ambassadors considered the relations between the two countries to be good and promised to work towards reinforcing the existing cooperation.

Prior to Namibia, the new US Ambassador, Randy Berry, also served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) from 2016 to 2018.

Relations between Angola and the United States of America have lasted for decades. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço highlighted in December 2022 during the USA-Africa Summit, that the country has the conditions and resources to attract more American investments, not only in the Energy and Oil sectors, but also in others of interest to American businessmen. .
