Houngbo, for the post of Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for the period 2022-2026, elected last month of March in Geneva, Swiss Confederation.

The Angolan citizen, Professor Sebastião da Silva Isata is a candidate for member of the Advisory Committee of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the period 2023-2025, during the elections scheduled for September 2022, in Geneva, Switzerland.
On the other hand, the Committee discussed the launch of an electronic portal to make the process of submitting applications by Member States more efficient and transparent.
Angola is Second Vice-President of the African Union Ministerial Committee on Candidatures in the International System. Equatorial Guinea chairs this Committee, while Djibouti is the First Vice-Chair.
