The Secretary of State for the Economy appealed, on Wednesday, in Luanda, to investors from the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) to explore paths and face common challenges, with a view to capitalizing on the opportunities offered by small businesses, towards to guarantee a sustainable future for Member States.
Ivan Marques dos Santos, who spoke at the opening of the second edition of the Dialogue on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, said that a strong focus on the business area by the entrepreneurial class constitutes one of the pillars for consolidating the economic fabric of the CPLP member states.
When speaking at the event promoted by the National Institute of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), in partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency, the Secretary of State highlighted the importance of meetings systematic between institutions supporting micro, small and medium-sized companies in the CPLP.
Ivan Marques also highlighted that the strategic agenda for the consolidation of economic cooperation 2022-2027, approved at the 1st joint meeting of the CPLP ministers of Economy, Commerce and Finance, held in April 2022, in Luanda, also highlights issues linked to training and training for entrepreneurship, improving the business environment, access to financing and support for internationalization, as main areas of intervention.

Nelson de Almeida said that SEBRAE controls 15 million individual entrepreneurs and almost 90% of companies in Brazil are small.
