Africa-Press – Angola. A technological tool aimed at automating and providing greater transparency and efficiency in the management of mining rights concession processes was launched on Wednesday (22), in Luanda, during the opening session of the Angola International Mining Conference (AIMC) 2025.
Dubbed the Angola Digital Mining Registry, the platform, part of the National Development Plan (2023-2027) and the Public Administration Digital Transition Agenda (2022-2027), also aims to increase investor confidence.
During the launching, the coordinator of the Technical Committee for Implementation of the Mining Licensing and Registry Management System, Emanuel Saturnino, said that it represents a sign of transparency and the reduction of bureaucracy in administrative activities in the mining sector.
With this, any citizen who needs to request a concession in national territory will be able to do so automatically and follow the entire process, explained the official, having highlighted that this procedure will provide greater agility.
The International Mining Conference, held under the motto “Strengthening Global Mining Investment Opportunities in Angola,” aims to create an environment conducive to investment by fostering strategic partnerships between local and foreign investors.
Over two days, the event will bring together representatives from international diamond organizations, analysts, mining companies, and domestic and foreign investors, in addition to featuring an exhibition area with 40 companies.
The event, promoted by the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, will focus on topics such as “Financing the Future: Attracting Investment to Angola,” “Critical Minerals and Economic Diversification in Africa – Ensuring a fair Transition,” “Leadership and Investment: Private Sector Intervention in the Mining Industry,” “External Risks, Fiscal Terms, Governance and Regulation,” “Evolution of the Mining Industry: Strengthening Angola’s Role in the Global Market,” among others.
