Africa-Press – Angola. The third SADC industrialization fair will be held in Angola from 31 July this year, with the presence of 15 exhibiting countries, announced this Thursday in Viana, Luanda, the National Director of the Industrial Development Institute , Technological Innovation, Filomena de Oliveira.
The person in charge made this announcement while opening the 2nd edition of the Viana agro-industrial fair, which has 150 exhibitors from the agriculture and industry sectors from Uíge, Huíla, Malanje, Benguela and Bengo, in addition to Luanda.
On the occasion, Filomena de Oliveira launched the challenge to the municipality of Viana to prepare itself and be at an organizational level of excellence, with the aim of better demonstrating the potential of local production.
With regard to the 2nd Viana agro-industrial fair, he said it was an event to promote what is done in the region and what “we already do best”, having encouraged the organizers to continue and expand the space, claiming to be small, looking for the municipality’s agricultural and industrial fabric.
He underlined that the Institute’s responsibility is to create and implement the industrial policy and that events of this nature presuppose the creation of ways to help young people to self-employment, investing in entrepreneurship, aiming to create their income and help their family.
Finally, he visited the various stands exhibited at the II agro-industrial fair in Viana, where leather footwear, African clothing, cosmetic products, agricultural and construction machinery, among others, were on display.
The 2nd edition of the Viana Agro-Industrial Fair takes place from the 11th to the 14th of May and takes place under the motto “Viana Towards Sustainable and Agro-industrial Development”.
