Africa-Press – Angola. The Single Association of Copyright and Related Rights (AUDAC) has been participating, since the 25th of this month, in the city of Dar es Salaan (Tanzania), in the Conference of the Association of Phonogram and Videogram Producers.

The conference, which ends the 27th, serves to reinforce the network with major international and regional producers and record labels, with emphasis on Universal Music, Sony Music and Warner Music.

The president of AUDAC, Lucioval Gama, said that Angola entered the priority market of the International Federation of the Phonogram Industry (IFPI).

He highlighted that the purpose of Angola’s inclusion is to boost the music business in the national territory, with investments in local artists, record labels, radio and TV.

He highlighted that since 2020, the association has been the link between Angola and IFPI.

According to the official, Universal Music expressed interest in entering the Angolan market, having even requested a list of artists and radio stations for the work.

Official data indicate that the phonogram and videogram industry in the world had positive growth, with revenue of 28 billion dollars.
