Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, addressed this Sunday, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the agenda of Angola’s presidency of the OEACP with the president of the organisation’s Council of Ministers, Alan Ganoo.
The meeting between the two individuals, which took place on the sidelines of the 36th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, also served to analyze the strategic objectives for the next three years of Angola’s mandate.
Interculotors also took the opportunity to address issues related to the Partnership Agreement process between the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OEACP) and the European Union (EU).
Angola intends to implement a strategy based on a new partnership with the EU during its presidency of the OEACP in the period 2023-2025.
Angola’s priorities include strengthening the institutional capacity of the bodies created by the Revised Georgestown Agreement, developing initiatives in areas such as climate change, food security, resource mobilization through direct private investment, cooperation on the oceans, technical capacity building and industrialization, among others.
