Africa-Press – Angola. Six days later, Angola again registers one death as a result of Covid-19, on a day when it reported 21 new infections and the recovery of 22 people, according to data on the epidemiological situation in the last 24 hours.
The newsletter of the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP), distributed yesterday to the press, states that the death occurred in Benguela. The victim is female and was 41 years old.
Regarding infections, 12 were registered in Luanda, four in Namibe, two in Moxico, the same number in Zaire and one in Lunda-Sul. The infected are aged between 1 month and 63 years, 16 males and five females.
With regard to those recovered, 21 were registered in Luanda and one in Namibe. those recovered are aged between 1 and 71 years.
With these data, the country accounts for 98,474 positive cases, of which 1,897 deaths, 96,162 recovered and 415 active. Of this number, one is in a critical condition, one is moderate, six have mild symptoms and 407 are asymptomatic.
Eight patients are hospitalized in Covid-19 treatment centers across the country. 12 citizens are in institutional quarantine and 402 are in home isolation.
The Molecular Biology Laboratory processed, in the last 24 hours, 1,872 samples, of which 21 were positive. Since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,397,845 samples have been processed, of which 98,474 have tested positive.
