Angola Revokes Mandatory Export Certificate of Conformity

Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Government has revoked the obligation to request the Certificate of Conformity for Export and the Declaration of Authorization for the Export of Goods, Thursday in Luanda.

The information is contained in a press release issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MINDCOM), through the National Directorate of Commerce, stating that the measure is part of the review of administrative procedures related to foreign trade operations.

The measure is intended to facilitate trade, with a view to simplifying procedural steps, reducing operating costs and increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of national exports.

The document highlights that despite the exemption from the aforementioned requirements, all other legal and regulatory obligations applicable to the export process remain unchanged, namely those relating to compliance with customs, sanitary, phytosanitary, safety and inspection standards.

“With this decision, MINDCOM reinforces its commitment to modernizing and reducing bureaucracy in foreign trade, in alignment with best international practices and national economic development objectives”, reads the note.
