Africa-Press – Angola. The Embassy of Angola in Pretoria joined the group of diplomats from the African Development Community (SADC) at the ceremony for the delivery of donations to the victims of the floods that devastated the province of KwaZulu-Natal, in April and May last year.

This is a financial amount of one hundred and three thousand rand, collected by the SADC countries accredited in South Africa.

The gesture was thanked by governor Nomusa Dube-Ncube, at the donation reception ceremony, held on Saturday in the city of Durban.

The governor remembered the 461 people who lost their lives and highlighted the courage, strength and will to quickly heal the scars left by the floods.

The Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Filomena Delgado, was absent for reasons of force majeure, having been represented by a delegation led by the first secretary of the Diplomatic Mission, Sandra dos Santos.
