Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, is since Monday, on a working visit to the Kingdom of Norway, with a view to intensifying economic cooperation between the two countries in the industrial sector oil company.
The visit to Norway, from 26 to 29 June, also aims to hold meetings with political and business authorities in this European country, linked to the oil and gas industry, as well as visit the main offices of the Initiative for Transparency in Extractive Industries (EITI) .
Diamantino Azevedo, accompanied by the chairman of the board of directors of the National Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANPG), Paulino JeroĢnimo, and by the director of Sonangol, Olga Sabalo, will meet with the management of the Norwegian Investment Fund for developing countries ( NordFund).
According to a press release, this Norwegian fund aims to strengthen the private sector in developing countries and reduce poverty.
Its investments are, as a general rule, aligned with social development objectives (SDGs) and are made in sectors such as renewable energies, financial inclusion, green infrastructure and companies such as agribusiness and manufacturing.
On the 27th, the Angolan delegation, led by the Angolan minister, Diamantino de Azevedo, will meet with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Norway, Terje Aasland and, later, with the Secretary of State, Erling Rimestad.
Still in the context of fulfilling the agenda, a series of presentations are reserved for the 28th, such as: Introduction to Technology, Digital and Innovation, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology; Introduction to oil and gas; Undersea technology; Subsurface technology and renewable and low-carbon energy.
On Thursday (29), the Angolan delegation will be informed about the strategy of Equinor (a Norwegian oil company that operates in Angola), its experience in terms of exploration of Marginal Fields in Norway and the Development of the Continental Shelf.
