Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan senior men’s handball team defeated their B team 17-12 in the second match of the “Angola 50 Years” International Tournament, which began this Wednesday at the Kilamba pavilion in Luanda.

In a completely balanced match, especially in the first half, the senior team struggled to overcome a team called up as a last resort to replace the withdrawing Congo Brazzaville.In the opening match of the first round, at the same venue, Cape Verde defeated Morocco 31-25.

Giovani Ranel de Nelumba Muachissengue, goalkeeper for Angola B, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match.

After trailing 5-8 at halftime, goalkeeper Giovanni Muachissengue was crucial in the comeback.

With the victory, Angola moves into second place with three points, while Angola B has yet to score.

Cape Verde leads the competition with the same three points, but with 31 goals scored compared to Angola’s 17.
