Africa-Press – Angola. Thirteen Angolan companies, divided into two stands, will participate from February 6th to 9th, in Cape Town, South Africa, at the International Conference on Mining in Africa Mining Indaba.

This is the biggest African investment event in the mining sector, which this year will have the motto “Unlocking the future of Mining in Africa”, in which Angola will be represented with diamond companies and others in the non-diamond sector.

With the motto “The potential of the Angolan diamond”, in the diamond subsector, Angola will have its own stand to be integrated by ENDIAMA, SODIAM, AJ SILVA and the Mining Companies of Catoca, Chitotolo, Yetwene, Furi and Kaixepa.

In terms of innovation, the country will also be represented by Geosondas, Minbos Resources, Ozango Minerals Hipermáquinas and Shinning Star, a group of companies in the mining subsector that adopted the theme “The mining potential of Angola”.

During the three days of the event, Angola was reserved for the 7th of February, Tuesday, as the date is dedicated to you, with the motto “Critical minerals for energy transition”.

It will be an opportunity for Angola to pass on experience, attract investment to leverage projects, identify and establish partnerships in the field of service provision, as well as promote the national mining sector’s potential and commitment to sustainability and female inclusion.

The president of the National Mineral Resources Agency, Jacinto Rocha, the National Director of Mineral Resources, Paulo Tanganha, and the Deputy Director General of Catoca, Paulo Mandela, will be speakers on “Angola ́s Mineral Potential: The future is here”, “Future Enabling Metals and Minerals”, and “Governance and sustainable accountability frameworks – Challenges and opportunities for greater success”.

The coordinator of the Angola Diamond Potencial working committee, Ana Feijó, highlighted, at the launch of the event, the attractive business environment, tax regime and other legislation that the country offers to any potential investor.

Ana Feijó also highlighted the concept adopted for the 2023 edition, which is based on cost-effectiveness through joint participation.

The International Conference on Mining in Africa, known as African Mining Indaba is an annual event dedicated exclusively to the capitalization and development of miners in Africa for 28 years, held in the South African city of Cape Town (Cape Town) , with over six thousand participants.
