Africa-Press – Angola. The outgoing ambassador of Angola to Zambia, Azevedo Xavier Francisco, this Monday presented farewell greetings to the authorities of that country.

Azevedo Xavier Francisco exercised the functions of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Angola in Zambia.

The Angolan diplomat was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Relations of Zambia, Stanley Kakubo, indicates a press release from the Embassy of Angola in Zambia.

On the occasion, the two entities highlighted the political will of both countries to work towards closer ties of friendship and cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects of mutual interest.

Relations between Angola and Zambia are at their highest level, after seven legal instruments of bilateral cooperation were signed, with emphasis on the construction of border roads between the referred countries, such as the Jimbe/Mwinulunga roads, Mapelenga (Malundo)/Sikongo and the creation of a binational commission.
