Africa-Press – Angola. The Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism Operators of Angola (AAVOTA) and the Federation of Travel Agencies of Spain intend to sign a memo of understanding aimed at the establishment of a circuit that will promote and boost the Angolan touristic potential.

The intention was expressed this Friday (23) in Madrid, at a meeting between the AAVOTA chairwoman, Catarina Oliveira, and the offficial in charge of the mentioned Spanish institution, Mercedes Tejero, on the fringes of the 45th Madrid International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which is happening from 21 to 25 January.

According to Catarina Oliveira, the projection of such agreement is influenced by the fact that the Spanish side has demonstrated interest in knowing Angola.

“We’ll tune up our protocol and start to do the first thing which is to help the (Spanish) association leaders visit Angola and, on the other hand, we Angolans will come to Spain, with a group of 10 to 15 agencies, to visit some Spanish tourism sites”, she emphasised.

She went on to explain that, to the AAVOTA this protocol will represent an opportunity for the establishment of partnerships.

The Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism Operators of Angola (AAVOTA) was founded in 1997.
