Africa-Press – Angola. The officers of the Angolan Armed Forces, who concluded, Thursday (14), in Luanda, the national training course for Electoral Civic Education Agents for FAA personnel, ensured readiness in carrying out the mission.

During the closing speech, the vice admiral and director general of the National Defense Institute, António Miranda, said that the participants are prepared to actively participate in the process of training Civic and Electoral Education Agents of the Angolan Armed Forces.

He stated that the trainees are prepared to build partnerships with the provincial and municipal electoral commissions, to obtain support, in the training of the FAA’s Civic and Electoral Agents.

Vice Admiral António Miranda said that the personnel are prepared to transmit information on the holding of the elections to former combatants and veterans of the country.

On behalf of the participants, Major Alfredo Silva thanked them for the knowledge acquired, stressing that the course allowed them to increase their level of knowledge about the General Elections, as well as regarding the posture to be taken before, during and after the electoral process.

51 officers from the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces participated in the training. The closing ceremony was attended by Lieutenant General Manuel Augusto Paiva, deputy head of the Main Directorate of Patriotic Education of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces.
