Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan visual artist and performer Mussunda N’zombo is expected to participate in the collective exhibition named “Global Fascisms”, as part of the “Berlin Art Week”, from September 12 to December 7 this year in Berlin, Germany.
The artist will present his photographic work called “The Impact 2” at this edition of Berliner Art Week, which is one of Europe’s largest contemporary art events that aims to highlight and promote the city’s art scene, including galleries, exhibitions and fairs.
According to him, in a press release, his work portrays the impact of the pact that global political leaders are developing and that affects humanity.
Regarding his participation, he emphasized that the goal is to engage in a multidisciplinary artistic exchange and share ideas and visions with colleagues during this period.
“Berliner Art Week is of great importance to me because it establishes itself as one of the most important platforms for contemporary art in Europe, always featuring international artists in prominent positions in galleries and private collections”, he said.
This year’s event, in its 14th edition, brings together representatives from more than 100 institutions and spaces linked to the arts.
Last year, Mussunda N’zombo presented the video art called “O Cárcere Privado” (Private Prison) and the performance “Cicatrizes Urbanas/O Arquitecto Sem Tecto” (Urban Scars/The Homeless Architect) in Berlin, as part of the Goethe-Institut project, at the festival “O Futuro Já Era” (The Future Is Now), held at the Zitadelle-ZAK Museum in Germany.
Domingos de Menezes Miguel (Mussunda N’zombo), is an Angolan visual and performance artist known for his innovative understanding and the creation of several heteronyms that enrich his artistic and cultural works.
He is also an expert in dance, fashion, film and art installations, with a strong commitment to cultural activism.
